How We Can Help

How can Mediation Help You?

In the mainstream of everyday life, it can be concurred that conflict should be dealt with without delay. This should be done openly when and as the need arises. The reality is that this dealing is rarely possible when the parties are in opposition to each other’s stance on matters of concern. Oppositional disaffection experienced between two or more parties can arise when they perceive that their values or needs are incompatible with the conditions they currently find themselves in. This perception is associated with a breakdown in working relationships, hinders effective communication between those parties, and can obstructs problem solving. It also destroys group cohesion and identity.

General & Health Counselling, Mediation & Consultancy are be able to provide assistance by facilitating resolution to the ongoing disagreements, disputes, disparities through its mediation processes. The aim of the mediation is to maintain a workable relationship between those parties involved. GHCMC does this by being recognized as an independent contractual mediating service, engaging in helping parties find a resolution. GHCMC helps in these matters by assisting the parties to explore and understand their separate situations, and the situations that bring them together, so an agreeable, mutually acceptable resolution to the problem can be reached.

GHCMC believes the mediation process is not a motivation to win but a means to find resolution to indifferences. This is based on the type of conflict experienced. This belief is attained by creating an environment conducive to the mediation process for the engaging parties. GHCMC achieve this by ensuring that the parties feel safe, both physically and emotionally, and secure in terms of confidentiality, also freedom from future punishments from the expression of feeling’s and perception. By minimizing the possibility of the process being sidetracked or hindered, a balance of power can be maintained, throughout the progression of mediation. This is done by the parties engaging in its developments so a practical outcome is reached.
